How do i change my IP and Ports in SRCDS ? i am using CS:S.

in the startup line of your server.

Windows:

Creating a shortcut to run the server
Go to your C:\srcds directory. Find srcds.exe Right click on it and create a shortcut. Now right click on the newly created shortcut and go to properties. Click on the tab shortcut, in the Target line you see probably the following: C:\srcds\srcds.exe Now we need to add the following behind this line to get the server started properly.

-console -game cstrike +ip 213.132.175.152 +maxplayers 20 +map de_dust

Of course you fill in your IP (whatismyip), you can change the maxplayers and which map you want to start the server with. But don’t forget the space between srcds.exe and -console! So the complete line would be like this:

C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +ip 213.132.175.152 +maxplayers 20 +map de_dust

Click OK when finished.


Start the server
All you need to do now to start your server is doubleclicking the shortcut you created.
If you encounter a problem, try deleting the +ip 213.132.175.152 in the shortcut or try reading this thread.

Linux:

Step 7
Edit your server configuration to your liking in cstrike/cfg/server.cfg
If it does not exist, create it.

Note: Read the following post in this thread if you would like to know how to setup multiple servers on the same host.

Additionally, you may want to launch your server as follows:

screen -S css ./srcds_run -console -game cstrike -port 27015 +ip 123.123.123.123 +map de_dust +maxplayers 14
To place the server in a screen session you may detach from once its launched, or place the line in start_server.sh and exeucte it from the command line.

I got the same problem as him Linksys router bug? - Steam Users Forums but i got a Norwegian Vista Version. Do you think the guide he got works with Vista ?

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections


You may have several network connections in this window. I want you to right click on the one you use to connect to the internet. Then click properties.

OK i got to the Step:

Fill in your external IP address (whatismyip) and this Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.
When finished click Add > OK > OK and Close

invalid IP or Subnet mask :S

OK i found out I had 2 TCP/IP and i was on the wrong one.

How do i find my DNS server ? ;o

Click Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) and then the Properties button. In the new window click the Advanced button. In the tab IP Settings you see the title IP addresses. Click for that title on the button Add. Fill in your external IP address (whatismyip) and this Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.

When i did this i lost my Internett :O
